Warning Light System Check

  1. Set ignition switch to RUN position. Observe warning lights. Start engine. Again observe operation of warning lights.
  2. If BRAKE warning light does not come on when ignition switch is turned on (engine not running), go to BRAKE WARNING LIGHT CHECK.
  3. If SEAT BELT warning light does not come on when ignition switch is turned on (engine not running), go to SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT INOPERATIVE CHECK.
  4. If CHECK ENGINE warning light does not come on when ignition switch is turned on (engine not running), go to ECA CHECK.
  5. Start engine. If BRAKE warning light does not go off when engine is running, go to BRAKE WARNING LIGHT WILL NOT GO OFF.
  6. If SEAT BELT warning light does not go off when engine is running, go to SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT SHORT CHECK NO. 1.
  7. If CHECK ENGINE warning light does not go off when engine is running, go to CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WILL NOT GO OFF.
