Suspension - Programmed Ride Control: Description

CAUTION: When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN article in the GENERAL INFORMATION section before disconnecting battery.

Programmed Ride Control (PRC) system uses input from speed and steering sensors to adjust vehicle ride by varying strut damping. PRC has 3 ride settings: soft, normal or sport. Driver can also manually select a soft ride and maintain it under all conditions. See Fig 1 .
