No Load Test: Probe

Start and warm engine. With all electrical loads off, raise RPM to 1500. Voltage should increase to no more than 2.5 volts above base voltage. If voltage does not increase or increases beyond specified level, repair or replace alternator. If voltage does not rise to proper level, perform AMPERAGE OUTPUT TEST .
