Section 10 (Axle Shafts - Front): Lubrication

Front hub bearings are a cartridge design and require no scheduled maintenance. On Probe, inner and outer CV joints utilize 2 different types of grease. The inner CV joint requires High Temperature Grease (E43Z-19590-A ). The outer CV joint requires CV Joint Grease (E2FZ-19590-B ).
On Escort and Tracer, use Yellow Grease (E2FZ-19590-B ) on inner CV joint and Black Grease (E43Z-19590-A ) on outer CV joint. Transaxle must be filled with Mercon (ESW-M2C138-CJ ).
