Pinpoint Test H - Hydraulic System
NOTE:
An assistant is necessary to perform this test
- Inspect all wiring, brakelines, and other ABS components for visible physical deterioration or damage. If all is okay, go to next step. Make any necessary repairs.
- Raise and support vehicle. Set transaxle to Neutral range. Release parking brake. Ensure brakes do not drag. Locate Data Link Connector (DLC) at left side of engine compartment. Connect jumper wire between DLC terminals TBS and GND. Press brake pedal. Ensure that wheels do not rotate. With brakes still applied, turn ignition on. Attempt to rotate each wheel in turn. If pressure is released within 0.5 second, and wheel rotates when pressure reduction occurs. See Fig 1
If pressure reduction occurs properly, ABS system is functioning normally. Return to PINPOINT TEST A if directed here from there. Return to PINPOINT TEST C if directed here from there. If pressure reduction does not occur, inspect hydraulic system and all ABS wiring. If okay, replace ABS control module.
