Neutral Safety Switch (A/T) Test

  1. Unplug manual lever position switch connector, located at top of transaxle. Check for continuity between switch terminals No. 1 and No. 3 (White and Black/White wires on mating connector). See Fig 1 .

  2. Set transaxle selector lever to Park or Neutral position. Continuity should exist.
  3. Set transaxle selector lever to any position except Park or Neutral. Continuity should not exist. If park/neutral switch does not operate as specified, replace switch.
