BRAKELIGHT Switch
- Brakelights should come on under a maximum 6 lb. (3 kg) brake pedal force. If more force is required, replace brakelight switch. Check fuse and bulbs if brakelights do not come on.
- If brakelights work okay but cruise control does not disengage when brake pedal is pressed, perform following test. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between Pin No. 4 at amplifier 6-pin connector and ground.
- Apply brake pedal and measure voltage between Pin No. 6 at 6-pin amplifier connector and ground. Difference between voltage readings in steps 2) and 3) should not exceed 1.5 volts.
- If voltage difference is greater than 1.5 volts, high resistance exists in brakelight circuit and must be corrected. Voltage should not exist at Pin No. 6 of 6-pin amplifier connector with brake pedal not applied.
