Wipers Do Not Park Properly

  1. Turn ignition off. Unplug wiper motor connector. Inspect Black wire at harness connector for continuity to ground. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open Black wire to ground.
  2. Turn ignition on. Check voltage between Dark Green wire and Black wire terminals of wiper motor harness connector. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open Dark Green wire or Black wire.
  3. Set wiper switch to OFF position. At wiper motor harness connector, check continuity between Black/Pink wire and Dark Blue/Orange wire terminals. If continuity does not exist, go to next step. If continuity exists,inspect wiper linkage for damage. Repair as necessary. If linkage is okay, replace wiper motor.
  4. Unplug connector from WCM, located at fuse block. Check continuity of Black/Pink wire, Yellow/Red wire, Dark Blue/Orange wire, and White wire between wiper motor and WCM. Repair open wire(s) as necessary. If wires are okay, replace WCM.
