Removal & Installation: Compressor: Installation

  1. Position compressor, and install mounting bolts. Tighten bolts to 15-22 ft. lbs. (20-30 N.m). Connect field coil electrical connector. Remove all plugs, and then install new "O" rings lubricated with clean refrigerant oil on manifold.
  2. Position manifolds, and install attaching bolts. Tighten bolts to13-17 ft. lbs. (18-23 N.m). Attach drive belt to compressor pulley. Install splash shield and undercover. Lower vehicle. Check accessory drive belt tension. Leak test, evacuate and charge A/C system.
