Wipers Inoperative At Interval Setting
- Unplug connector from Wiper Control Module (WCM) located behind instrument panel, to left of steering column. Set wiper switch for interval operation. Measure resistance between Brown/White wire and Orange wire terminals of harness connector. If resistance is not 10,500-12,000 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 10,500-12,000 ohms, go to step 3).
- Unplug connector from wiper switch. Measure resistance between Brown/White wire and Orange wire terminals of switch. If resistance is 10,500-12,000 ohms, repair open wire between WCM and wiper switch. If resistance is not as specified, test wiper switch. See WIPER SWITCH TEST .
- Measure resistance between Brown/White wire and Dark Blue/White wire terminals of harness connector while rotating interval control. If resistance does not change from 3.3 k/ohms to 104 k/ohms, go to next step. If resistance changes from 3.3 k/ohms to 104 k/ohms, replace WCM.
- Unplug connector from windshield wiper switch. Measure resistance between Brown/White wire and Dark Blue/White wire terminals of switch while rotating interval control. If resistance changes from 3.3 k/ohms to 104 k/ohms, repair open wiring between wiper switch and WCM. If resistance does not change as specified, test wiper switch. See WIPER SWITCH TEST.
