Function Control Cable
- Remove trim panel under glove box. Move function control lever to DEFROST position. Insert Cable Locating Key (18C408) through function selector cam key slot and heater case key boss opening to secure cam in proper position. See Fig 1
.NOTE: Control cam is located on right side of heater.
- Disconnect cable from retaining clip next to function selector cam. DO NOT exert any force on cam during cable installation.
- Connect cable straight to retaining clip. Remove cable locating key. Ensure lever is fully in defrost position. Ensure lever operates through its full range of travel on control panel. If a small amount of air bleeds through panel vents in FLOOR, MIX or DEFROST positions, lengthen adjustment rod 1-2 turns. Ensure function control lever moves through its full stroke. Install trim panel.
