Reading Self-Diagnostic Codes: Notes

NOTE: Accuracy of self-diagnostics depends on correct operation of non-EEC components and systems. Correct all non-EEC problems in engine, ignition or fuel system attempting to diagnose EEC system.

NOTE: EEC system will not display a PASS code, as other Ford systems.

PCM/TCM outputs self-diagnostic codes one digit at a time. Record codes in order received. These codes indicate current faults in system and should be serviced in order of appearance. Use appropriate EEC CODE REFERENCE table to find correct CIRCUIT TEST.
