Warning Indicators Inoperative
- Check fuse No. 11. If fuse is okay, go to next step. If fuse is bad, replace fuse. If fuse blows again, inspect and repair for short in circuit.
- Check for loose wiring connections in engine compartment and at instrument cluster. If wiring is okay, go to next step. If loose connections are found, secure connections.
- With ignition switch in OFF position, partially remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Measure resistance from cluster connector C1, pin No. 7 (Black wire) and ground. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair circuit No. 57 ( Black wire) for open.
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using a test light, check for voltage at cluster connector C1, pin No. 13 (Red/Yellow wire). If test light illuminates, replace instrument cluster printed circuit and retest. If light does not illuminate, repair circuit No. 640 (Red/Yellow wire) for open and retest.
