Passenger-Side Air Bag Module: Removal

- Before proceeding, see SERVICE PRECAUTIONS . Disable SRS. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
- Disconnect two air bag diagnostic monitor connectors, located under left instrument panel pad. Open glove box and press sides inward to lower glove box. Remove glove box and upper cover screws, and glove box and upper cover.
- Disconnect passenger-side air bag module electrical connectors. See Figure . Remove four air bag module bolts. Remove passenger-side air bag module by pushing down on air bag module from inside instrument panel. Do not handle air bag by edges of trim cover.
