Section 23 (Drive Shafts): Adjustments: Notes

Drive shaft balance and runout can have a severe impact on driveline angularity. Driveline angularity is the angular relationship between engine crankshaft, drive shaft, and drive axle pinion. See Fig 1 . A road test must be performed to determine the source of vibration. If the vibration is determined to be the cause, the following adjustments can be performed.
