Test E: Wipers Work At Only One Interval Setting

  1. Inspect fuses, connections, and wiring. Repair any obvious defects. If all are okay, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition on. Press washer button. If washer does not work, go to next step. If washer works, check wiper switch. See WIPER SWITCH under COMPONENT TESTS  . Retest system.
  3. Disconnect wiper switch. Test for battery voltage on Light Blue/Orange wire at switch harness connector. If battery voltage exists, repair short to voltage in Light Blue/Orange wire. See WIRING DIAGRAM  . If battery voltage does not exist, repair open in Light Blue/Orange wire between GEM and wiper switch.
