Test D: Up/Down Lifting Function Does Not Work Properly

  1. Check Upward/Downward Operation

    Disconnect seat motor connector. Using jumper wires, connect positive battery voltage to Green wire of seat motor connector. Momentarily connect Yellow wire of seat motor connector to ground. Seat should operate smoothly. Reverse jumper wires at seat motor connector. Seat should operate smoothly in opposite direction. If seat motor operates as specified, go to next step. If seat motor does not operate as specified, replace seat motor.

  2. Check Tilting Circuits

    Connect seat motor connector. Disconnect power seat control switch connector. Using jumper wires, connect positive battery voltage to Red/Light Green wire of power seat control switch harness connector. Momentarily connect Yellow/Light Green wire of power seat control switch harness connector to ground. Seat should move smoothly. Reverse jumper wires at connector. Seat should move smoothly in opposite direction. If seat motor operates as specified, replace power seat control switch. If seat motor does not operate as specified, repair appropriate wire(s).
