Passenger-Side Air Bag Module: Removal

- Before proceeding, see SERVICE PRECAUTIONS . Disable SRS. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
- Open glove box. Press sides inward, and lower glove box to floor. Working through glove box opening, remove right A/C air duct. Remove air bag module mounting bolts. See Fig 1 . Disconnect and remove air bag module electrical connector from steel reinforcement.
- Pull each corner of air bag cover to disengage cover-to-instrument panel attachments. Remove passenger-side air bag module by pushing on module from inside instrument panel opening. Do not handle by edges of deployment door.
