Ventilation Airflow System

  1. Start engine and allow to idle. Place blower motor switch in HI position. Place function selector switch in MAX A/C position. Airflow should exit at instrument panel registers only.
  2. Place function selector switch in panel position. Airflow should exit at instrument panel registers only. Place function selector switch in panel/floor position. Airflow should exit at instrument panel registers and floor outlets.
  3. Place function selector switch in floor position. Airflow should exit at front and rear floor outlets with a small amount of airflow at defrost nozzles. Place function selector switch in floor/defrost position. Airflow should exit at front and rear floor outlets and defrost nozzles.
  4. Place function selector switch in defrost position. Airflow should exit at defrost nozzles only. If airflow is as specified, system is functioning properly. If airflow is not as specified, repair system as necessary.
