Test F: Speed Control Does Not Disengage When Clutch Is Applied

  1. Check Clutch Pedal Position (CPP) Switch  - Turn ignition off. Disconnect CPP switch connector C209 or jumper (located on clutch pedal arm). Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between CPP switch terminals No. 3 and 4 while pressing clutch pedal. See Fig 1 . If measured resistance is more than 10 k/ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 10 k/ohms or less, replace CPP switch and perform SELF-DIAGNOSTIC TEST.
  2. Check Tan/Light Blue Wire For Short To Ground  - Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect speed control servo/actuator connector C171 (located near right front fenderwell). Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between ground and speed control servo/actuator connector C171 terminal No. 4. See Figure . If resistance is more than 10 k/ohms, replace speed control servo/actuator and perform SELF-DIAGNOSTIC TEST. If resistance is 10 k/ohms or less, repair short to ground in Tan/Light Blue wire between speed control servo/actuator and CPP switch. Perform SELF-DIAGNOSTIC TEST.
