Hydraulic System Check

  1. Turn ignition off. Remove drive motor filler plug and check fluid level. Fluid should be level with bottom of filler plug hole. If fluid level is okay, go to step 4). If fluid level is low, go to next step.
  2. Visually inspect drive motor and plate kit for damage. Check system for hydraulic fluid leaks. Repair if necessary. If no damage or fluid leaks are present, go to next step.
  3. Add fluid as necessary to fill reservoir. Use Mercon Multi-Purpose ATF (XT-2-QDX). Operate top several times to bleed any air present in the system. If top operation is okay, go to next step. If top does not operate, go to TOP DOES NOT OPERATE.
  4. Watch lift cylinder during operation. If lift cylinder operation is okay, go to next step. If lift cylinder operation is not okay, replace lift cylinder.
  5. Watch drive motor upper and lower hoses during operation. If hoses are kinked or misrouted, repair or replace as necessary. If hoses are okay and top is operational, testing is complete.
