  1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect speed control servo/actuator harness connector C833. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage between terminals No. 7 (Violet/White wire) and No. 10 (Black/White wire) at speed control servo/actuator harness connector C833. See Fig 1 . If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, go to step  13 .
  2. Measure voltage between terminals No. 4 (Orange/Blue wire) and No. 10 (Black/White wire) at speed control servo/actuator harness connector C833. If any voltage exists, repair brake light switch circuit for short to voltage or replace brake light switch. See appropriate wiring diagram in EXTERIOR LIGHTS article. If voltage does not exist and vehicle is equipped with M/T, go to next step. If voltage does not exist and vehicle is equipped with automatic transmission, go to step  4 .
  3. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect Clutch Pedal Position (CPP) switch harness connector C825. Measure resistance between terminals No. 1 and No. 3 at CPP switch (component side). See Fig 2 . If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, replace CPP switch.
  4. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage between terminals No. 9 (Orange/Yellow wire) and No. 10 (Black/White wire) at speed control servo/actuator harness connector C833. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, go to step  15 .
  5. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Measure resistance between terminals No. 5 (White wire) and 6 (Black wire) at speed control servo/actuator harness connector C833. If resistance is greater than 10 k/ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 10 k/ohms or less, replace speed control/horn switch.
  6. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage between terminals No. 5 (White wire) and 10 (Black/White wire) at speed control servo/actuator harness connector C833. If no voltage exists, go to next step. If any voltage exists, repair short to voltage in White wire between speed control servo/actuator and clockspring.
  7. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Measure resistance between terminals No. 5 (White wire) and 10 (Black/White wire) at speed control servo/actuator harness connector C833. If resistance is greater than 10 k/ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 10 k/ohms or less, repair short to ground in White wire between speed control servo/actuator and clockspring.
  8. Measure resistance between terminals No. 6 (Black wire) and 10 (Black/White wire) at speed control servo/actuator harness connector C833. If resistance is greater than 10 k/ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 10 k/ohms or less, repair short to ground in Black wire between speed control servo/actuator and clockspring.
  9. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 6 (Black wire) at speed control servo/actuator harness connector C833. If no voltage exists, go to next step. If any voltage exists, repair short to voltage in Black wire between speed control servo/actuator and clockspring.
  10. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 5 (White wire) at speed control servo/actuator harness connector C833 while pressing speed control ON switch. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, check horn operation. If horn does not operate, repair horn system as necessary. If horn operates properly, go to step  14 .
  11. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Measure resistance between terminals No. 5 (White wire) and No. 6 (Black wire) at speed control servo/actuator harness connector C833 while pressing speed control SET/ACC switch. If resistance is 640-720 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not 640-720 ohms, replace speed control/horn switch.
  12. Disconnect instrument cluster harness connector C808b. Measure resistance between terminal No. 3 (White/Violet wire) at speed control servo/actuator harness connector C833 and terminal No. 8 (White/Light Blue wire) at instrument cluster harness connector C808b. If resistance is 5 ohms or less and speedometer operates properly, replace speed control servo/actuator. If resistance is 5 ohms or less and speedometer does not operate properly, repair speedometer. See appropriate INSTRUMENT PANEL article. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in White/Violet or White/Light Blue wire as necessary.
  13. Measure voltage at terminal No. 7 (Violet/White wire) at speed control servo/actuator harness connector C833. If battery voltage exists, repair open in Black/White wire. If battery voltage does not exists, repair open in Violet/White wire.
  14. Measure resistance between terminals No. 5 (White wire) and No. 6 (Black wire) at speed control servo/actuator harness connector C833 while pressing speed control OFF switch. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace speed control/horn switch. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in White wire.
  15. Ensure ignition switch is in LOCK position. Disconnect brake pedal deactivator switch harness connector C824. Measure resistance between brake pedal deactivator switch terminals (component side). If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, replace brake pedal deactivator switch.
  16. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage at terminal No. 1 (Orange/Yellow wire) at brake pedal deactivator switch harness connector C824. See Fig 3 . If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open in Orange/Yellow wire.
  17. Ensure ignition switch is in LOCK position. Disconnect speed control servo/actuator harness connector C833. Measure resistance in Orange/Yellow wire between terminal No. 9 at speed control servo/actuator harness connector C833 and terminal No. 2 at brake pedal deactivator switch harness connector C824. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace speed control servo/actuator. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Orange/Yellow wire.
