Restraints Control Module (RCM): Removal

- Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Position front seats fully forward. Disable air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEM under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM. Remove center console storage tray and 2 retaining screws located under tray. Remove console insert and position aside.
- Remove center console retaining screws. Lift console and position as far rearward as possible. Remove instrument panel lower finish panel. Remove one RCM mounting bolt beneath center of instrument panel. Disconnect RCM harness connectors. Remove remaining RCM mounting bolts and RCM with bracket.
