Removal and Installation

- Remove the liftgate trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
- Position the watershield aside.
- Disconnect the liftgate handle actuating rod.
- Disconnect the liftgate latch actuating cable.
- Disconnect the liftgate window latch actuating cable.
- Disconnect the liftgate latch actuator electrical connectors.
- Remove the 3 screws and the liftgate latch remote control.
- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
