Torsion Bar Loading

    NOTE: The luggage compartment lid tension should be decreased if the luggage compartment lid opens with more force than desired. The luggage compartment lid tension should be increased if the luggage compartment lid opens with less force than desired.
  1. Open and support the luggage compartment lid in the full-open position.
  2. WARNING: Use care when adjusting the luggage compartment lid torsion bar. It is under tension and could spring out of control if it is not handled correctly. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.

  3. Move the luggage compartment lid end of the luggage compartment lid torsion bar to another position.
  4. Check the adjustment.

  6. Move the luggage compartment door end of the luggage compartment lid torsion bar to another position.
