Seat Cushion - Front: Assembly

- To assemble a passenger seat cushion equipped with an OCS system, install the OCS. For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM .
- Install the seat cushion support to the cushion frame.
- If equipped, install the 6 springs.
- Install the seat cushion trim cover to the foam pad.
- Position the mat over the cushion frame and install the 2 pushpins.
- Install the cushion frame.
- Install the armrest bracket and 3 bolts.
- Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
- Install the armrest cover trim.
- Install the armrest.
- Install the armrest pin.
- Install the armrest pin retaining clip.
- Install the 2 armrest pin covers.
- Slide the heated seat module on the bracket until fully seated into the bracket.
- Connect the heated seat module electrical connector.
- Connect the cushion heater mat electrical connector.
- Fasten the cushion trim cover retainers.
- Install the pin-type retainer.
- Fasten the J-clips.
- Connect the power lumbar electrical connector.
- Install the power lumbar switch bezel.
- Install the seat track. For additional information, refer to SEAT TRACK .
- Install the front seat backrest. For additional information, refer to SEAT BACKREST - FRONT .
- Install the cushion support to the 4 locating holes in the cushion frame.
- Install the 6 cushion support springs.
- Install the 3 RH side cushion support springs.
- Using locking pliers or an appropriate tool, install the 3 LH side cushion support springs.
- Install the shield (mesh) over the seat cushion support.
- Position the safety belt buckle to the stud and install the safety belt buckle nut.
- Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Position the cushion foam pad and trim cover to the cushion frame and fasten the J-clips.
- Install the power lumbar switch.
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Install the seat. For additional information, refer to SEAT - FRONT .
- Repower the SRS. For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEPOWERING AND REPOWERING in the General Procedures.

CAUTION:
When installing the cushion support springs, face the open end of the springs downward to avoid seat cushion damage.
