Seat Cushion - Front: Assembly

    Passenger seat with OCS 

  1. To assemble a passenger seat cushion equipped with an OCS system, install the OCS. For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM .
  2. All seats 

  3. Install the seat cushion support to the cushion frame.
    • If equipped, install the 6 springs.
  4. Install the seat cushion trim cover to the foam pad.
  5. Position the mat over the cushion frame and install the 2 pushpins.
  6. Install the cushion frame.
  7. Seat with an armrest 

  8. Install the armrest bracket and 3 bolts.
    • Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
  9. Install the armrest cover trim.
  10. Install the armrest.
  11. Install the armrest pin.
  12. Install the armrest pin retaining clip.
  13. Install the 2 armrest pin covers.
  14. Heated seats 

  15. Slide the heated seat module on the bracket until fully seated into the bracket.
  16. Connect the heated seat module electrical connector.
  17. Connect the cushion heater mat electrical connector.

  18. All seats 

  19. Fasten the cushion trim cover retainers.
    1. Install the pin-type retainer.
    2. Fasten the J-clips.

  20. Seat with power lumbar 

  21. Connect the power lumbar electrical connector.
  22. Install the power lumbar switch bezel.
  23. All seats 

  24. Install the seat track. For additional information, refer to SEAT TRACK .
  25. Install the front seat backrest. For additional information, refer to SEAT BACKREST - FRONT .
  26. Driver seat receiving a new steel cushion support only 

  27. Install the cushion support to the 4 locating holes in the cushion frame.

  28. CAUTION: When installing the cushion support springs, face the open end of the springs downward to avoid seat cushion damage.
  29. Install the 6 cushion support springs.
    • Install the 3 RH side cushion support springs.
    • Using locking pliers or an appropriate tool, install the 3 LH side cushion support springs.

  30. Install the shield (mesh) over the seat cushion support.

  31. Position the safety belt buckle to the stud and install the safety belt buckle nut.
    • Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
  32. Position the cushion foam pad and trim cover to the cushion frame and fasten the J-clips.
  33. Install the power lumbar switch.
    • Connect the electrical connector.
  34. All seats 

  35. Install the seat. For additional information, refer to SEAT - FRONT .
  36. Repower the SRS. For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEPOWERING AND REPOWERING in the General Procedures.
