Windshield Wiper

- Disconnect the battery ground cable.
- Partially drain the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
- Remove the cowl panel grille. For additional information, refer to COWL PANEL GRILLE .
- Remove in the order indicated in the following table.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
CAUTION:
The windshield wiper system has an auto park feature. It is necessary to disconnect the battery.
Item 4: Degas Bottle Removal Note
- Disconnect the degas return hose from the degas return tube.
- Position the degas bottle aside.
NOTE:
When positioning the degas bottle aside it will be necessary to reroute the degas bottle lower hose in front of the brake booster.
Item 8: Wiper Motor Bolts Removal Note
- Position the windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft assembly aside, and loosen the upper windshield wiper motor bolt.
- Remove the windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft assembly.
- Rotate wiper output arm to the six o'clock position.
- Remove the two lower wiper motor bolts.
NOTE:
To remove the lower wiper motor bolts it is necessary to rotate the bottom of the windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft assembly upward.
Item 9: Mounting Arm And Pivot Shaft Assembly Removal Note
- Remove the mounting arm and pivot shaft assembly.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
