Clutch Cycling Switch

Clutch cycling switch is mounted on a Schrader valve-type fitting on top of accumulator-drier. Electrical contacts inside clutch cycling switch are normally open when pressure is 22-28 psi (1.5-2.0 kg/cm2 ). Contacts close and energize compressor clutch when low-side pressure reaches 40-47 psi (2.8-3.3 kg/cm2 ). When working properly, clutch cycling switch maintains evaporator core temperature just above freezing.
