Test T: Luggage Compartment Inoperative Using Remote Transmitter

  1. Depress luggage compartment lid release switch. If luggage compartment opens, go to step  8 . If luggage compartment does not open, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Driver Door Module (DDM) 18-pin connector C519. Measure resistance between ground and DDM connector C519 terminal No. 13 (White/Violet wire) while pressing luggage compartment release switch. See Figure . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to step  5 . If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, go to next step.
  3. Disconnect luggage compartment lid release switch connector. Measure resistance of White/Violet wire between DDM connector C519 terminal No. 13 and luggage compartment lid release switch connector terminal No. 1. See Figure . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not less than 5 ohms, repair open in White/Violet wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  4. Measure resistance between ground and luggage compartment lid release switch connector terminal No. 2 (Black wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace luggage compartment lid release switch. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in Black wire between luggage compartment lid release switch and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  5. Momentarily connect a fused (10-amp) jumper wire between battery positive post and DDM 18-pin connector C519 terminal No. 7 (Purple/Yellow wire). See Figure . If luggage compartment lid opens, replace DDM. If luggage compartment lid does not open, go to next step.
  6. Disconnect luggage compartment lid release solenoid 3-pin connector. Measure resistance of Violet/Yellow wire between DDM connector C519 terminal No. 7 and luggage compartment lid release solenoid connector terminal No. 2. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in Violet/Yellow wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  7. Measure resistance between ground and luggage compartment lid release solenoid connector terminal No. 1 (Black wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace luggage compartment lid release solenoid. If resistance is not less than 5 ohms, repair open in Black wire between replace luggage compartment lid release solenoid and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  8. Program remote transmitter. See REMOTE TRANSMITTER  under PROGRAMMING. Depress remote transmitter luggage compartment lid open button. If luggage compartment lid opens, system is okay at this time. If luggage compartment lid does not open, replace DDM.
