Loosen PCM connector C1027-to-PCM bolt. Disconnect PCM connector C1027. Remove PCM mounting screws. Remove PCM and bracket assembly. Slide PCM out of bracket.
  2. To install PCM, reverse removal procedure. Using scan tool and Ford Service Function (FSF) card 4.0 or higher, select SERVICE BAY FUNCTIONS, PATS, then select SECURITY ACCESS PROCEDURE. This procedure will take 10 minutes to perform. Go to next step.
  3. CAUTION: DO NOT select any function other than PERIMETER RESET in this step.
  4. Using scan tool, select PERIMETER RESET. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect scan tool. Turn ignition switch from LOCK to RUN 5 times staying in RUN position for 3 seconds or more, and in OFF position for 2 seconds or more each time.
