Azimuth System Check
NOTE:
Object used in this system check can be fabricated from a 3" (7.6 cm) diameter pipe 39" (99.1 cm) in length. See Fig 1
. Azimuth (side-to-side) system check should be performed with vehicle on a level surface. Parking Aid Module (PAM) will default to ON when ignition key is turned from OFF to RUN position.
Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Set parking brake and place shift lever in Reverse. Ensure parking aid speaker sounds when PAM detects objects within appropriate distances. For object locations and distances, see MINIMUM DETECTABLE OBJECT DISTANCES table.
