Micro ISO Relay

  1. Remove relay. Measure resistance between relay terminals No. 2 and 1, 3, 4 and 5. See Figure . If resistance is less than 5 ohms between relay terminal No. 2 and any other terminal, replace relay. If all resistances are greater than 5 ohms, go to next step.
  2. Using a jumper wire, connect between positive battery terminal and relay terminal No. 3. Connect test light to relay terminal No. 4. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, replace relay.
  3. Using 3 jumper wires, connect one jumper between positive battery terminal and relay terminal No. 1. Connect another jumper wire between positive battery terminal and relay terminal No. 3. Connect the last jumper wire between negative battery terminal and relay terminal No. 2. Connect test light to relay terminal No. 4. If test light illuminates, replace relay. Connect test light to relay terminal No. 5. If test light does not illuminate, replace relay. If test light illuminates, relay is okay.
