Restraints Control Module: Removal
- Restraints Control Module (RCM) is mounted on center tunnel below climate control assembly. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Record preset radio frequencies for reprogramming. Disable air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEM under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
- Position carpet back at right side of instrument panel center support bracket. Remove RCM bracket retaining bolt. Position carpet back at left side of instrument panel center support bracket. Disconnect RCM connector locking clip. Disconnect RCM electrical connector. Remove 2 RCM retaining bolts and remove RCM with bracket.
