Powertrain Control Module (PCM): Removal

  1. Retrieve the module configuration. Carry out the module configuration retrieval steps of the Programmable Module Installation (PMI) procedure. For additional information, refer to PROGRAMMABLE MODULE INSTALLATION (PMI) .
  2. Remove the cowl panel grille. For additional information, refer to COWL PANEL GRILLE .
  3. Disconnect the 3 PCM electrical connectors.
  4. Remove the PCM.
    • Remove the lower bolt and the upper PCM bracket bolt.
  5. Remove the bolt and the bracket from the PCM.
