Removal And Installation: Spring: Installation

  1. Inspect and if necessary, install a new jounce bumper.
    • Lubricate the top of the new jounce bumper with grease.
  2. Position the spring upper seat onto the spring with the end of the spring 0-10 mm (0-0.39 in) from the step on the seat.

  3. If removed, position the spring lower seat into the lower arm aligning the recess in the seat with the projection on the lower arm.

  4. Position the spring onto the lower arm with the end of the spring 0-10 mm (0-0.39 in) from the step on the spring seat.

  5. NOTE: Do not tighten the bolt at this time.
  6. Using the jack, raise the lower arm and install a new lower arm outboard bolt.
  7. NOTE: Before tightening any suspension bushing fasteners, the suspension must be at the bushing fastener tightening position. This will prevent incorrect clamp load and bushing damage.

  8. Using the jack, raise the suspension until the distance between the center of the hub and the lip of the fender is equal to 395 mm (15.55 in).
  9. Tighten the lower arm outboard bolt to 110 Nm (81 lb-ft).
  10. Install a new stabilizer bar link lower bolt.
    • Tighten to 45 Nm (33 lb-ft).
  11. Align the index mark on the cam bolt and cam adjuster with the index mark on the lower arm and tighten the cam adjuster nut to 101 Nm (74 lb-ft).
