Blower Motor Relay

  1. Remove blower motor relay from central junction box, located behind left side of dash. Perform blower motor relay continuity test. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . If relay continuity is not as specified, replace blower motor relay relay. If continuity is as specified, go to next step.
  2. Connect a fused jumper wire between battery voltage and blower motor relay terminal No. 1, 3 and 6. Connect a second jumper wire between ground and blower motor relay terminal No. 2. Measure voltage between blower motor relay terminal No. 2 and 7. Measure voltage between blower motor relay terminal No. 2 and 5. If 12 volts are present at both terminals, relay is okay. If 12 volts are not present at either terminal, replace A/C relay.
