Test L: Speed Control Indicator Does Not Turn Off

NOTE: See WIRING DIAGRAMS  for circuit repairs. After each service or repair procedure has been completed, reconnect all components.
  1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect speed control servo/actuator 10-pin harness connector C171 (located at right rear of engine compartment). Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If speed control indicator illuminates, go to next step. If speed control indicator does not illuminate, replace speed control servo/actuator. Recheck system operation.
  2. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect instrument cluster White 16-pin harness connector C286 (located behind instrument cluster). Measure resistance between ground and speed control servo/actuator harness connector C171 terminal No. 1 (Orange/Light Blue wire). See Figure . If resistance is more than 10 k/ohms, replace instrument cluster printed circuit. Recheck system operation. If resistance is 10 k/ohms or less, repair short to ground in Orange/Light Blue wire between instrument cluster and speed control servo/actuator. Recheck system operation.
