Power Door Lock Switch

NOTE: Use a self-powered test light or DVOM to test power door lock switches. Some switches contain diodes. Reverse test leads during resistance checks before condemning switches.

Remove door lock switch to be tested. Position switch with terminals facing upward, and raised part of rocker switch on left. See Fig 1 or Fig 2 . Check continuity between switch terminals with switch in specified position. See TESTING POWER DOOR LOCK SWITCHES table. Replace switch as necessary and recheck system operation.

⁽¹⁾	Switch illumination circuit. Continuity should exist between switch terminals No. 3 and 7 and between terminals No. 2 and 14. If continuity does not exist, replace bulb.

⁽²⁾	Switch illumination circuit. Continuity should exist between switch terminals No. 1 and 5 and between terminals No. 12 and 14. If continuity does not exist, replace bulb.
