Test E: Right Front Power Window Inoperative (2-Door)

NOTE: After all repairs, clear DTCs and recheck system operation. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  for circuit identification and repair.
  1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect right front window switch 7-pin harness connector C615. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage between ground and right front window switch harness connector C615 terminal No. 4 (Light Blue/Black wire). See Figure . If more than 10 volts exist, go to next step. If 10 volts or less exist, repair open in Light Blue/Black wire.
  2. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Measure resistance between ground and right front window switch harness connector C615 terminal No. 1 (White/Yellow wire). Measure resistance between ground and right front window switch harness connector C615 terminal No. 6 (Tan/Light Blue wire). See Figure . If resistance is 14 ohms or more in either measurement, go to next step. If resistance is less than 14 ohms in both measurements, go to step  4 .
  3. Disconnect driver's window switch 14-pin harness connector C515. Measure resistance of White/Yellow wire between driver's window switch harness connector C515 terminal No. 12 and right front window switch harness connector C615 terminal No. 1. Measure resistance of Tan/Light Blue wire between driver's window switch harness connector C515 terminal No. 8 and right front window switch harness connector C615 terminal No. 6. See Figure and Figure . If resistance is less than 5 ohms in both measurements, replace right front window switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open or high resistance in appropriate wire(s).
  4. Connect jumper wire between right front window switch harness connector C615 terminals No. 1 (White/Yellow wire) and No. 2 (Yellow/Red wire). Connect second jumper wire between right front window switch harness connector C615 terminals No. 4 (Light Blue/Black wire) and No. 5 (Red/Yellow wire). Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If right front window does not operate in downward direction, remove jumper wires and go to next step. If right front window operates in downward direction and does not operate with right front window switch, replace right front window switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If right front window operates in downward direction and operates with right front window switch, but not with driver's window switch, replace driver's window switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  5. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect jumper wire between right front window switch harness connector C615 terminals No. 5 (Red/Yellow wire) and No. 6 (Tan/Light Blue wire). Connect second jumper wire between right front window switch harness connector C615 terminals No. 2 (Yellow/Red wire) and No. 4 (Light Blue/Black wire). Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If right front window does not operate in upward direction, remove jumper wires and go to next step. If right front window operates in upward direction, but does not operate from right front window switch, replace right front window switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If right front window operates in upward direction and operates from right front window switch, but not driver's window switch, replace driver's window switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  6. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect right front window motor 2-pin harness connector C604. Measure resistance of Yellow/Red wire between right front window motor harness connector C604 and right front window switch harness connector C615 terminal No. 2. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open or high resistance in Yellow/Red wire.
  7. Measure resistance of Red/Yellow wire between right front window motor harness connector C604 and right front window switch harness connector C615 terminal No. 5. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace right front window motor. See POWER WINDOW MOTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open or high resistance in Red/Yellow wire.
