Disposal Procedures: Notes

Air bag disposal may be necessary in following situations:

• Scrapping vehicle with deployed air bag and-or pretensioner.
• Scrapping vehicle with live air bag and-or pretensioner.
• Disposal of a live but electrically faulty air bag module and-or pretensioner.
• Disposal of a deployed air bag module and-or pretensioner.

Vehicle to be scrapped
Deployed module-pretensioner		(1)Dispose of in usual manner
Live module-pretensioner		(3)Deploy air bag
