Test C: System Overcharges
- Disconnect generator 3-pin harness connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between positive battery terminal and generator harness connector terminal "A" (Yellow/White wire). See Figure . If voltage is less than 0.5 volt, go to next step. If voltage is 0.5 volt or more, repair circuit between generator and battery. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Inspect ground connections between battery and engine. Ensure generator mounting surfaces are clean and bolts are secure. If problem exists, repair as necessary. If problem does not exist, replace generator.
