Test A: All Power Windows Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect master window control switch harness connector located in driver's door panel arm rest. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION  . Turn ignition switch to ON position. Measure voltage between ground and master window control switch harness connector terminal No. 2. See Fig 1 . If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to step  3 .
  2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Measure resistance in Light Blue/Black wire between ground and master window control switch harness connector terminal No. 5. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace master window control switch. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Light Blue/Black wire between master window control switch and ground. Ground point is located behind left kick panel.
  3. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Remove window safety relay from relay box 1. See Fig 2 . Check window safety relay. See WINDOW SAFETY RELAY  under COMPONENT TESTS. If window safety relay is okay, repair open in Red/Light Blue wire between window safety relay and battery junction box and/or Black/Pink wire between window safety relay and central junction box. If window safety relay is not okay, replace window safety relay. Clear DTCs and retest system operation.
