Induction System: Removal
- Relieve the fuel pressure. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE .
- Use Disconnect Tool or equivalent and disconnect the fuel supply line from the fuel injection supply manifold rail.
- Disconnect the intake manifold runner control (IMRC) actuator electrical connector.
- Remove the intake manifold (9424). For additional information, refer to INTAKE MANIFOLD .
- Disconnect the four fuel injector electrical connectors.
- Remove the intake manifold runner control (IMRC).
- Remove the two bolts and remove the fuel injection supply manifold, if necessary. .
- Remove the three bolts and remove the IMRC actuator, if necessary.
WARNING:
Fuel supply lines will remain pressurized for long periods of time after engine shut down. This pressure must be relieved before disconnecting any fuel lines or fuel system components.
