Front Seat Backrest: Assembly
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all warnings, cautions, and notes at the beginning of the disassembly procedure.
- Install the seat cushion foam on the backrest frame.
- Install the head restraint rod guides into the seat backrest frame head restraint guide tubes.
- Install the head restraint.
- Restore the vehicle to operating condition
- Install the seat backrest. For additional information, refer to FRONT SEAT BACKREST .
- Install the front seat. For additional information, refer to FRONT SEAT .
- Reactivate the supplemental restraint system (SRS). For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEACTIVATION AND REACTIVATION .
- With all the restraint system diagnostic tools removed, prove out the supplemental restraint1 system (SRS). For additional information, refer to AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS .
- Check the active restraints for correct operation. For additional information, refer to SAFETY BELT SYSTEM .

Remove from the vehicle prior to road use. Failure to remove could result in injury and possible violation of vehicle safety standards.
NOTE:
The LH and RH head restraint rod guides are not interchangeable.
NOTE:
For correct installation, the locating tabs must face toward the front of the seat.
