Valve - Stem Diameter

Measure the diameter of each intake and exhaust valve stem at the points shown in Fig 1. Verify the diameter is within specification.

- Refer to GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS for 3.8L engines or GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS for 4.6L engines.
- If out of specification, install new components as necessary. Refer to CYLINDER HEAD for 3.8L engines or CYLINDER HEAD for 4.6L engines.
