    CAUTION: Do not stone or polish any of the valves. If the valves do not move freely during assembly, it is necessary to install a new valve body.
  1. Install the valves and springs.
  2. NOTE: Be sure to note the location of the check balls.
  3. Install the check balls.

  5. Install the filters.
  6. NOTE: Be sure to note the location of the relief valves.

  7. Install the relief valves
  8. CAUTION: Verify correct alignment of the relief and check valves to the separator plate before tightening the bolts. If the relief and check valves are incorrectly installed the transaxle will not operate correctly.
    NOTE: The new gaskets are bonded to the separator plate.

  9. Using the special tools, install a new valve body separator plate with bonded gasket.
