Battery Cables: Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

  2. Disconnect the battery positive cable.

  3. Remove the nut and disconnect the battery positive cable from the power distribution box.

  4. Remove the generator B+ stud nut and remove the cable harness eyelet.

  5. Disconnect the generator battery sense circuit connector.

  6. Remove the pin-type retainers and remove the upper radiator support sight shield.

  7. Remove the body negative ground cable bolt.

  8. Raise and support the vehicle.
  9. Remove the battery cable harness retaining bracket nut. Remove the bracket and the engine negative ground cable from the stud.

  10. Remove the battery cable harness from the harness bracket.

  11. Remove the starter motor solenoid terminal cover.

  12. Remove the starter motor positive cable nut and disconnect the B+ cable. Remove the battery cable harness assembly from the vehicle.
