Pump - 2.0L: Installation

  1. Use (A) Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacer to install the (B) power steering pump pulley hub, if necessary.

  2. Install the power steering pump.
    1. Position the power steering pump.
    2. Install the bolts.

  3. Connect the power steering reservoir pump hose (3691) and tighten the clamp.

  4. Raise and support the vehicle.
    5. NOTE: Install a new teflon seal 388898-S on the power steering pressure hose fitting before connecting the hose.

  5. Connect the power steering pressure hose.
  6. Install the RH lower splash shield.

  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Install the power steering pump pulley.
  9. Install the power steering pump reservoir.
  10. Fill the power steering system; refer to STEERING SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
