Catalytic Converter-2.0L SPI: Installation

Position and support the catalytic converter.
Loosely install the lower clamp.

Remove the support.
Lower the vehicle.

CAUTION: Never use jointing compound forward of the catalytic converter.

Install the catalytic converter to the manifold.
- Use a new gasket and nuts.

Install the heat shield.

Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to JACKING & HOISTING .
Connect the catalytic converter to the flexible pipe.
- Use a new gasket and nuts.

Install the bracket.
- Tighten the bolts.

Tighten the bracket adjusting bolts.

Install the catalyst monitor sensor.

Connect the catalyst monitor sensor electrical connector.

Lower the vehicle.
