Seat Control Switch: Installation

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all warnings, cautions and notes at the beginning of the removal procedure.
  1. Position the switch and install the screws.

  2. Position the inner side shield to the seat.

  3. Install the outer side shield to the seat.
      NOTE: Route the power seat (if equipped) switch wire harness through the side of the seat while positioning the outer side shield to the seat.
    1. Position the outer side shield to the seat and push in where indicated to install the retaining clips.
    2. Squeeze the inner and outer side shields together to seat the clips.

  4. Install the outer side shield screw.

  5. Install the recliner handle.

  6. Connect the power seat track electrical connector (if equipped).

  8. Install the driver seat. For additional information, refer to FRONT SEAT .
  9. WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all warnings, cautions, notes and instructions in the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Deactivation and Reactivation procedure.
  10. Reactivate the supplemental restraint system (SRS). For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEACTIVATION AND REACTIVATION .
  11. WARNING: The restraint system diagnostic tool is for restraint system service only. Remove from the vehicle prior to road use. Failure to remove could result in injury and possible violation of the vehicle safety standards.
  12. With all the restraint system diagnostic tools removed, prove out the supplemental restraint system (SRS). For additional information, refer to SAFETY BELT SYSTEM .
  13. Check the active restraint system for correct operation. For additional information, refer to SAFETY BELT SYSTEM .
